That's disappointing that he's left as he is a genuine talent. When big companies buy out studios the staff are often offered golden handcuffs money to stay on for a set period of time so there isn't an immediate mass people drain (Sony did this when buying Bungie). He must've met the terms of his contract to leave of serving a minimum period of time and delivering a completed game.

Don’t get me wrong there is so much to love about the Xbox platform but one thing these investigations have done is expose the myth of ‘Good Guy Phil’ for what he is - a used car salesman who plays hard and loose with the truth. This includes how he said Bethesda games wouldn’t go exclusive and how Game Pass doesn’t cannibalise game sales. If Microsoft’s buyout of Activision-Blizzard doesn’t go through then Phil Spencer needs to be fired.

How much of an effect did the TLOU TV series actually have on sales? When the Halo TV series was released there were no reports of it boosting Xbox sales.

It's been easy to buy Xbox Series X on Amazon UK since summer last year.

The Eurogamer family of websites (now owned by US company Reedpop) have had its male editors make a misogynistic ban on J.K.Rowling, Harry Potter and Hogwart's Legacy. It's possible Digital Foundry have reversed the decision - if you have a link to the Eurogamer review or the Digital Foundry comparison please post it here I will be happy to take a look.

The review refers to the controversy so it should be okay for N4G users to comment on what's in the review. I'm saddened to see that it looks like BGFG is censoring comments that criticise its business partners and friends at VGC. Legitimate comments should be allowed.

Paul Tarssi is the idiot who has abused his platform because he doesn’t want people to buy Hogwarts Legacy. He also used to make pro-Xbox videos series with Destin from IGN. This is just to get clicks from the PlayStation community who he doesn’t align with.

Microsoft has paid out for the big name games launching on Game Pass, this month alone it's getting Monster Hunter Rise which PlayStation owners have to pay $40 for, not to mention all the other great new games. However these are a reward for the current Xbox userbase and not drawing new users in so MS needs its own first party exclusives.

Starfield will come out in the first half of the year, possibly June, and that's going to be an amazing boon for Microsoft and ...

Hellblade II should release in the latter half of 2023. If Ninja Theory are firing on all cylinders then this really has the potential to be a God of War Ragnarok killer. Also, Horizon Forbidden West is a visually beautiful game, but Ark 2 with a photorealistic Vin Diesel may just put it to sleep. And don’t forget what could be the best WRPG ever Starfield.
